Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 on the 25th of November, 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer. Most well-known for her roles in the American television shows Law & Order (where she was Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She has also acted in films such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted and also in the independent film Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class which is the latter of which she wrote and co-directed. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton. John Hennessy her father was a salesman and marketing executive. He was a frequent traveler which led to many family moves. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mom and secretary, died in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) was involved in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother as well as Jacqueline is a twin sister. Jacqueline is host and journalist for an upcoming Canadian television show. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side, and mostly Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian and Austrian ancestry from her mother's. After finishing her studies at Grand River Collegiate Institute (both in Kitchener) She then went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also took part on the Toronto subway. She and her sister made their acting debut as twin callgirls in 1988's Dead Ringers. The actress was nominated to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who eventually got the role.She made an appearance in Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the role for three seasons and then left the show in 1996.
